Job Title: Commercial Asset Controller

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Asset Controller to join our team. As a key member of our Fleet Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal maintenance of our vehicle assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and report on daily vehicle operations (VOR) to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance.
  2. Liaise with workshops, fleet maintenance colleagues, and repair agents to optimize vehicle downtime and minimize costs.
  3. Manage the workflow through our vehicle management system, reviewing and approving repair quotes as necessary.
  4. Review and negotiate repair prices with workshops and manufacturers to ensure the best value for our clients.
  5. Work closely with our repair agents to ensure our critical delivery assets are returned to service in a timely manner.
  6. Identify areas for improvement in our preventative maintenance regime to benefit our clients.
  7. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve our ways of working.
Requirements:
  1. Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to analyze maintenance and financial data.
  3. Mechanical knowledge of HGVs, including build, maintenance, and operation.
  4. Commercial and business acumen, with experience in managing suppliers and national account managers.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with suppliers on behalf of our clients.
  6. CPC holder desirable but not essential.
  7. Experience of hazardous goods desirable but not essential.
  8. Willingness to learn and continuous improvement mindset.
  9. Great interpersonal skills and confident communication style.
