Financial Assistant Job Description

LHH Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports.
  • Perform bank and customer account reconciliations.
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Process day-to-day transactions and ensure accuracy.
  • Support the finance team in meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance role.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Working towards being fully qualified or part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, AAT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (Pivot tables and V lookups).
  • Well-organized and flexible to meet the requirements of the job.
