Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Credit Risk Manager to join our team at Crown Agents Bank Ltd. This role will lead the credit risk management function, overseeing the assessment and recommendation of new business opportunities and ongoing second-line in-life credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee the credit risk management function, collaborating with front-office teams to evaluate new business opportunities and develop strategies to optimize credit risk policy and processes.
  • Credit Analysis: Ensure high-quality credit analysis is delivered, regularly reviewing and implementing enhancements to credit policy, processes, and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Continuously monitor market, regulatory, macro-economic, and political developments to ensure credit-related assessments reflect current and emerging information.
  • Team Development: Supervise and develop the credit analysis team to deliver consistent, high-quality credit analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a commercial/numerical subject and/or relevant professional qualification.
  • At least 7 years of demonstrable credit analysis experience, with broad knowledge of FIs, Sovereigns, Corporates, IDOs, and NBFI credit risk within the financial services industry, ideally in an emerging/frontier market context.
  • Strong technical credit analysis and research skills, including financial statements analysis, sector research, peer analysis.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • French/Portuguese/Spanish language skills desirable.

We estimate the salary range for this position to be around £80,000-£120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
