About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Operations Manager to join our client, a well-established educational establishment in Reading.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and overseeing all aspects of food service, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Led a high-volume catering operation with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and develop a team of chefs and catering assistants to achieve exceptional standards in food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements, ensuring consistency and quality across all meals.
  • Manage kitchen resources effectively, maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing waste, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record as a Head Chef or similar role, with experience in managing large-scale catering operations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving high standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders.
