Electronics Production Manager

Job DescriptionWe're seeking an experienced Electronics Production Manager to oversee our UK-based manufacturing partners and R&D team during this period of expansion. As a core member of our R&D engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges and directly impact our world-class customers.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead communication between the R&D team and manufacturing partners, including frequent site visits (in the UK).
- Organise and compile necessary documentation for manufacturing partners.
- Coordinate the start-up of new products at CRM sites.
- Monitor production KPIs (yield, FTP, throughput, etc.) to consistently improve the manufacturing process and product quality.
- Develop and manage production assembly tools, from specification to validation and maintenance at suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate procurement issues and risks to prevent potential problems.
- Guarantee quality assurance compliance among subcontractors.
- Design and implement quality control methodologies to ensure adherence to quality standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Manage faulty units and non-conformances within the supply chain.
- Analyse quality-related data and reports with suppliers to drive Q-KPIs and enhance supplier performance.
- Examine manufacturing data to identify trends and root causes of process defects, then implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
- Collaborate and be responsible for NPI launch activities, such as risk assessments (FMEAs), PPAP for FAIs, and other production start-related tasks.
- Conduct DfQ (design for quality) assessments for new products.
- Recommend design changes to improve process quality (in conjunction with suppliers/Contract Manufacturers).
- A thorough understanding of electronics to provide initial fault-finding support to suppliers.
- Comfort discussing options for mechanical parts manufacturing techniques (injection moulding, CNC, 3D printing, etc.).
- Experience managing subcontractors from a technical perspective.
