About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Principal Sustainability Consultant. As a key member of our E&CC service, you will provide strategic direction and expertise to our clients, helping them achieve their sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement energy and carbon management strategies for clients, including energy audits, surveys, and feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on energy and carbon management best practices, including ESOS and EU EED-compliant energy audits.
  • Lead and manage multiple complex projects, including client management, quality assurance, and project administration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing clear and concise advice and guidance on energy and carbon management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform our clients' sustainability strategies.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can bring a range of skills and expertise to this role. Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Qualified to degree-level or higher in a relevant science or engineering-related subject.
  • Chartered or Practitioner Member status of a relevant technical body, such as IEMA or the Energy Institute.
  • Proven experience in a consultancy role or as an in-house Sustainability Manager or similar.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative, as well as working effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate directly with clients.
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and MS Excel.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

We are ideally looking for a consultant to be located in our Manchester office, although other locations will be considered. Hybrid working will also be considered.
