The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sustainability Consultant to join our Energy and Climate Change Team. As a key member of our team, you will assist in the delivery of our expanding climate change related services, with a focus on building sustainability and energy efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with a focus on building energy systems, climate change impacts, and sustainability assessments. You will be responsible for conducting building assessments, climate change and sustainability assessments, carbon accounting, and developing climate resilience strategies for businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct building assessments for new and existing housing, commercial, and industrial properties.
  • Develop climate change and sustainability assessments for Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Perform carbon accounting for corporate audits in line with legislation and industry standards.
  • Develop climate resilience strategies for businesses.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in a Maths, Engineering, or related Science subject.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems, energy management in buildings, and SAP/SBEM assessment.
  • Strong modelling capability, with experience in software such as Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and basic economics and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of the UK planning system and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to client-facing roles.
