Job Summary: We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Field Engineer to lead and manage the tree cutting electrical provision team within Ground Control's operational area with UK Power Networks in EPN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficient and comprehensive planning and delivery of all individual as well as team assigned tree cutting power outages.
  • Apply/Remove/Oversee the application of earths, back feeds, and generation when required.
  • Support and drive the delivery of the overall tree cutting power outage programme.
  • Lead and manage the electrical provision team to ensure that all programmes of work are delivered to time and budget and in line with contractual commitments to time, cost, and quality.
  • Assist in the management of budgets relating to the electrical provision.

Requirements:

  • Be a Senior Authorised Person with Field Control as defined by the UK Power Networks Distribution Safety Rules.
  • Educated to HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • A broad understanding of UK Power Networks electrical shutdown provision processes, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to identify problems, understand key issues, and investigate alternatives.
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
