Job Description:

Berry Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sales ledger accounts, generating and distributing customer invoices, and monitoring incoming payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure sales ledger accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely.
  • Monitor incoming payments and ensure they are properly recorded in the system.
  • Apply payments to correct customer accounts and invoices.
  • Perform regular reviews of the accounts receivable aging report.
  • Follow up on overdue payments via phone, email, or written correspondence.
  • Reconcile discrepancies on customer accounts.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly AR reports for management review.
  • Provide detailed reports on receivables status.
  • Assist in evaluating the creditworthiness of customers.
  • Implement credit policies and terms for new and existing clients.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address any AR-related inquiries.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working in a Finance Department.
  • Credit control experience.
  • An organised individual, who can work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of MS office, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Effective written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Adaptable, who can confidently work within a changing environment.
