Berry Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sales ledger accounts, generating and distributing customer invoices, and monitoring incoming payments.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure sales ledger accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
- Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely.
- Monitor incoming payments and ensure they are properly recorded in the system.
- Apply payments to correct customer accounts and invoices.
- Perform regular reviews of the accounts receivable aging report.
- Follow up on overdue payments via phone, email, or written correspondence.
- Reconcile discrepancies on customer accounts.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly AR reports for management review.
- Provide detailed reports on receivables status.
- Assist in evaluating the creditworthiness of customers.
- Implement credit policies and terms for new and existing clients.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address any AR-related inquiries.
- Previous experience of working in a Finance Department.
- Credit control experience.
- An organised individual, who can work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Knowledge of MS office, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Effective written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- Adaptable, who can confidently work within a changing environment.
