Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions for our customers. You will work closely with our engineering team to develop and deploy cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services
  • Develop and deploy cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers

Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration
  • Significant experience of systems automation using BASH, Python, Perl, etc
  • Significant experience of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of building and operating systems at scale
  • Advanced knowledge of configuration management systems, such as: Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or related systems
  • Significant experience of monitoring frameworks (such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Elastic or similar)
