About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Paediatric Asthma team as a Clinical Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering specialist pathways of care for children with asthma, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement specialist pathways of care for children with asthma
  • Provide specialist advice, education, and support to healthcare professionals and patients
  • Conduct clinical audits and research within the specialist area
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical practice, research, and standards of care within the service

Requirements

  • BSC/1st degree (health-related) or equivalent qualification/training and experience
  • Post-registration qualification in an appropriate area of specialty or equivalent post-qualification experience
  • Leadership course
  • Mentorship course

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Masters degree
  • Diploma in Asthma Care
  • Experience of working autonomously at an advanced level within the specialist area
  • Previous experience of student supervision and clinical education at undergraduate level
