About the Opportunity:

As an Academic Specialist - Chemistry, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science lessons to students at various academic levels. You will create an engaging and interactive learning environment that sparks curiosity and encourages a lifelong love for science.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons aligned with national curriculum standards.
  • Use diverse teaching methods to engage students and cater to different learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to foster improvement.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages inquiry and active participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular themes and best practices.
  • Participate in school events, parents' evenings, and staff meetings to contribute to the school community.
  • Stay informed about developments in science education and incorporate new strategies into your teaching.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field (Education preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience teaching science at the secondary level is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of the national science curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
