Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated SEMH School based in Hampshire.

The school is a specialist setting for boys aged 10-16 with a range of complex needs to include: SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), Autism & ADHD

The successful candidate will be working with pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education and with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) The school offers a great vocational curriculum allowing students to express themselves amongst practical-work and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant, 1:1 / Small-Group Support

Requirements:

Previous Teaching experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
A passion for working with children with SEMH.
You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
GCSE: English & Maths / Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Qualifications

Eligibility:

Hold an Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
