Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Activity Coordinator to join our team. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing leisure and recreation activities for patients with neurological disabilities or illnesses. Your role will involve using a variety of meaningful activities, including arts and crafts, animals, garden, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized recreation plans for patients with neurological disabilities or illnesses.
  • Provide leisure and recreation activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Organize community outings to enhance patients' exposure to the local community.
  • Assist patients with disabilities to integrate into the community by teaching them how to use community resources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that recreation plans align with patients' medical needs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the UK, preferably in a care or healthcare setting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team.
  • Passion for caring for others and making a positive impact on patients' lives.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and development.
