Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant Role

Job Description:
This permanent PAYE contract offers a competitive daily rate, providing stability and financial security. As a key member of the team, you will be expected to provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and PMLD. Your expertise in fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment will be invaluable in promoting the students' communication, social, and emotional development.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement IEPs.
  • Use varied strategies to support communication, social, and emotional development.
  • Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist with personal care routines such as toileting and feeding, maintaining dignity and respect.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
  • Resilient and positive attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Confidence in providing personal care.
  • Knowledge of Makaton, PECs, or similar communication systems (desirable).
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or education are advantageous but not essential.

Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is £25-£35 per hour, depending on experience.
