Job Summary

Zapp is a leading digital-first, premium convenience retailer, and we are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager, Retail Category to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans/initiatives for the Non-Perishable category to align with business objectives, sales targets, and customer demands.
  • Monitor supplier service levels to ensure in-full and on-time delivery of high-quality products.
  • Utilize data analysis, historical sales trends, and market insights to support demand forecasting and create replenishment plans.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and maintain optimal inventory turnover.
  • Establish and monitor quality control standards to ensure Non-Perishable products meet company quality criteria.
  • Implement measures to minimize product waste and shrinkage, continuously monitoring expiration dates and handling damaged products efficiently.
  • Work closely with the Marketing/Merchandising team to plan promotions, seasonal offerings, and special campaigns for the Non-Perishable category.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, food safety standards, and health regulations governing the handling and storage of Non-Perishable goods.
  • Utilize supply chain analytics and data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the Non-Perishable category supply chain.
  • Develop contingency plans and response strategies to address supply chain disruptions caused by unforeseen events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4-5 years) in supply chain management, preferably in a retail environment, with a focus on Non-Perishable categories.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain dynamics, including vendor management and quality control processes.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, adept at using data to make informed decisions and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with supply chain software and technology (SQL, Python) is a plus.
