We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urologist to join our team at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Urologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our urology services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide an across-the-board core adult urological service, including elective services such as outpatient clinics and elective inpatient and day-case operations.
- Develop a specialist interest to complement the rest of the department and contribute to the delivery of safe inpatient care.
- Support the hospital's new care pathways and participate in the Consultant of the Week rota, providing care for all urology inpatients and offering telephone advice to the on-call surgical team out of hours.
- Proactively support, participate, and contribute to the delivery of safe inpatient care and support the relevant teaching and training of both undergraduates and junior medical staff.
- Clinical training/experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the development of our urology services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
