AVP Business Risk Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AVP Business Risk professional to join our team. As a key member of our 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) Markets Controls Testing team, you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive, risk-based control testing programme across all Markets businesses globally.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing and executing controls testing to agreed timelines, escalating and resolving obstacles to delivery.
  2. Maintaining high standards and best practices for execution of testing activities and associated documentation.
  3. Supporting stakeholders in determining necessary control remediation identified through the testing programme.
  4. Maintaining strong relationships with Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance, and Operational Risk.
  5. Drafting impactful summary outputs from the testing programme.

This role will be hybrid with 3 days working from our office in Belfast.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Knowledge of Markets Sales and Trading activities, risks, and related controls.
  2. A strong understanding of control design assessment and effectiveness testing techniques.
  3. Experience in Front Office controls testing, internal audit, external audit/control consulting, or similar disciplines.
