Job Title: AVP Business Risk

We are currently working with a global financial institution to recruit an AVP in Business Risk. This role will be part of the 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) Markets Controls Testing team, responsible for executing a comprehensive, risk-based control testing programme across all Markets businesses globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute controls design and operating effectiveness testing to agreed timelines, escalating and resolving obstacles to delivery.
  • Maintain high standards and best practices for execution of testing activities and associated documentation.
  • Challenge stakeholders on the design and effectiveness of controls.
  • Support stakeholders in determining necessary control remediation identified through the testing programme.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance, and Operational Risk.
  • Draft impactful summary outputs from the testing programme.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Markets Sales and Trading activities, risks, and related controls.
  • Strong understanding of control design assessment and effectiveness testing techniques.
  • Experience in Front Office controls testing, internal audit, external audit/control consulting, or similar disciplines.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective senior stakeholder relationships.

This role will be hybrid with 3 days working from the office in Belfast. Although the role is initially for a 12-month period, there is a high possibility of extension.
