About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant in our Calne Dispensary. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the provision of a safe and effective dispensary service, working under the supervision of a Dispensary Manager or Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the dispensing of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Use the pharmacy IT system to produce labels and manage stock
  • Dispense and label controlled drugs, maintaining accurate records
  • Support the training and development of new and existing staff members
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and tidy working environment
Person Specification
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Pharmacy NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience of using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and internet
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative
