About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Nurse to join our SACT Unit at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients receiving chemotherapy and other oncology treatments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and develop care plans for patients receiving chemotherapy and other oncology treatments
  • Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed by medical staff
  • Monitor patients for side effects and respond to any concerns or issues
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members

Requirements

  • 1st or 2nd Level registered nurse or practitioner
  • Degree or working towards a degree
  • NMC standards
  • Chemotherapy awareness

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Teaching and assessment skills
  • Clinical assessment skills
  • Oncology experience as a student or qualified nurse
