About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Nurse to join our Oncology team at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients receiving a range of Oncology treatments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care.
  • Participate in the wider clinical governance agenda, including service developments and flexible working to meet patient needs.
  • Manage a caseload of patients receiving Oncology treatments and manage associated complications.
  • Supervise junior staff and teach qualified and unqualified staff, including basic and post-basic students.

Requirements

  • 1st or 2nd Level registered nurse or practitioner.
  • Degree or working towards a degree.
  • NMC standards.
  • Chemotherapy awareness.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Teaching and assessment.
  • Clinical assessment skills.
  • Oncology experience as a student or qualified.
  • Critical care.
  • Chemotherapy administration.
