About the Role

The Nelson Trust is seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our team in a residential safe space accommodation unit for women. As a Bank Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, providing support and guidance as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff coverage during working hours to maintain a safe environment for residents and the building.
  • Provide support to clients as necessary, including emotional support, guidance, and advocacy.
  • Work closely with residents to understand their needs and develop personalized support plans.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a holistic approach to supporting women with complex needs, including substance misuse, emotional wellbeing, offending behaviours, and mental health needs.

Requirements

  • Commitment to making a difference in the lives of women and a passion for supporting women in a holistic, women-centred, trauma-informed way.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of women's services and the issues affecting women with complex needs.
