About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Mental Health Inpatient Services at various locations across Lancashire & South Cumbria. As a Bank Registered Nurse, you will have the flexibility to choose when and where you work, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking a more flexible work-life balance.
Main Responsibilities
As a Bank Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs for patients in our inpatient mental health settings. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, using your knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based, person-centered care that is focused on recovery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least six months of experience working in an inpatient mental health setting, with a strong understanding of mental health conditions and their treatments. You will also need to be registered with the NMC and have completed a Band 5 preceptorship programme.

Essential
- Registered Nurse - Mental Health / Learning Disability
- Completion of Band 5 preceptorship programme (evidence may be required from RNs who have been registered for less than 2 years or with gaps)
- On-going registration with the NMC
Knowledge
Essential
- Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments, recovery principles and person centred care
- Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Care Programme Approach
- Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure
