Job Title: RF (Radio Frequency) Test Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Location: Onsite (5 days a week)

We are seeking a skilled Test Support Engineer to join our team for a six-month contract with one of our sector-leading manufacturing clients.

As a member of the Assembly Integration and Test team, you will work alongside Mechanical and Electrical specialists to produce world-leading satellite payloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise test execution activities within the payload facility.
  • Provide first-line support across all test phases and projects, offering test engineering and process support to shop floor operations.
  • Drive continuous improvements and reduce non-quality in electrical and RF test operations.
  • Work with Lead Engineers to agree on the daily contract of work and highlight any difficulties based on resource, tools, and means.
  • Support the RF Lead in forward planning and ensure that paperwork, test aids are available.
  • Drive testing locally in the cleanroom, ensuring no hindrance for the operations team and that all tasks are pursued continuously and efficiently.
  • Ensure that the correct test aids are available for project test phases and investigations.
  • Work with Lead engineers to prepare new test phases, including the setup of new equipment, hardware, and software.
  • Escalate immediately when a priority task cannot be carried out.
  • Support the daily contract agreed with the Lead Engineer at project SQCDP L2 Daily meeting, acting as first-line support to resolve issues locally or escalated following AIT test process.
  • Coordinate investigations and 'non-standard' work instructions, provide process knowledge and support to both internal test teams and systems engineering teams.
  • Coordinate EMC investigations, working closely with the EMC engineering team.

Requirements:

  • Electrical and/or RF engineering skills.
  • Experience in electrical test environments.
  • Strong electrical/RF test measurement experience.
  • Presentation skills - clear and concise presentation of project status to peers, managers, and internal customers.
  • Delivering feedback - positive and constructive to local teams.
