Construction Buyer Role

Premises Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Buyer to join their team at their HQ in NW London.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sourcing construction materials for projects, including drylining, fixings, steel, and wood materials.
  2. Sourcing relevant services for projects, such as concrete, skips, tool, plant, and site accommodation hire/purchasing.
  3. Maintaining close communication with site agents and suppliers.
  4. Organizing and updating Excel spreadsheets with project information.
  5. Developing knowledge of relevant suppliers, services, and materials.
  6. Staying up-to-date with construction industry standards and procedures.

Previous experience in a procurement/buyer role in the construction industry or for a Builders Merchant is essential for this position.

Requirements:
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other IT systems.
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards and procedures.
