Procurement Manager - Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team in the construction sector. As a key member of our commercial division, you will be responsible for developing innovative procurement strategies to drive innovation and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive innovation and delivery
  • Manage multiple programs of infrastructure procurement, developing and implementing procurement strategies
  • Collaborate and build relationships across the supply chain, operating with a strategic long-term view to ensure effective delivery of projects and contracts in line with wider business strategies
  • Engage with the utilities market to develop new commercial models and provide innovative practices, leading the implementation of these into procurement programs
  • Manage supplier issues by focusing on continuous improvement objectives while monitoring regulatory matters

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in procurement/contract management within a matrix environment
  • Understanding of operating within construction/quantity surveying related positions
  • Familiarity with construction-related contract models such as NEC is ideal but not a pre-requisite
  • Strong stakeholder management experience to effectively engage cross-functional stakeholder groups within a large environment
