Senior Analysis Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analysis Analyst to join our dynamic global team of researchers dedicated to understanding the rapidly evolving energy transition and battery raw materials markets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on lithium market analysis and forecasts, identifying necessary data inputs, overseeing procurement, collection, cleaning, and validating for forecasting lithium supply, and analyzing and integrating lithium demand forecasts for EV and ESS applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive market analysis and forecasts for the lithium market, including supply and demand forecasts, market balance, and price forecasts.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on the battery raw materials market, including technology development, regulatory/policy developments, supply, demand, capacity, trade, and other factors that impact the industry.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and data for market analysis and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with market participants, including suppliers, manufacturers, and customers, to gain insights and promote Fastmarkets data and insights.
- Contribute to the development of market intelligence reports, presentations, and other materials to support business development and customer engagement.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of relevant data collection, management, analysis, and forecast model development experience, including internship(s).
- Strong data identification and acquisition expertise conducted via primary and secondary research.
- Comprehensive understanding of statistical modeling and forecasting, particularly with regards to time series data, and some exposure to machine learning a plus.
- Excellent writing and verbal skills.
- Proactive, pragmatic, and resilient with a positive and flexible approach, focused on achieving results and the right outcome for a growing business.
