About the Role

Caseload Management: As a Habilitation Specialist, you will work with a caseload of up to 40 pupils, delivering a comprehensive Habilitation programme to maximise their potential for independence and develop essential life skills.

Regulatory Compliance: You will ensure strict adherence to national standards, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for the children and young people in your care.

Collaboration and Flexibility: You will work as part of a small, experienced team, visiting children and young people in their school or home environment, as well as in between school, home, or other areas, to provide high-quality support.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Habilitation Specialist or a qualified Rehabilitation Worker willing to undertake additional recognised qualifications.
  • A good understanding of quality standards for Habilitation.
  • Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with children, young people, their families, and professionals.
  • Experience working with children with vision impairment is highly desirable.
