Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Homecare Manager to join our team at Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd. As a Registered Homecare Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the care of children in a residential setting and leading a team of carers to provide high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the requirements as a Registered Manager as set out in the Children's Homes National Minimum Standards care Standards Act 2000 and the Children Act 2004.
  • Work within the policies, practices, and procedures of Positive Independence.
  • Develop and implement methods to establish the needs of children as part of the individual Local Authorities care planning arrangements.
  • Manage physical resources to meet all appropriate legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage, monitor, and control activities against delegated budgets.
  • Create and maintain the necessary conditions for effective service delivery.
  • Promote by personal example and through appropriate management, good social work practice, professional conduct, and ethical standards.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring systems within the Home and participate in monitoring and evaluation processes.

Requirements:

  • Two years Child Care experience in the last 5 years to include one year in a managerial capacity.
  • A Diploma in Social Work or NVQ Level 3 in children and young people.
  • A Level 5 in Leadership and Management or be willing to work toward this.
  • Management and Supervision Experience.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • An innovative approach.
  • The ability to demonstrate creative thinking.
  • A full driving license and the use of a car.
