About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at NOV HydraRig site in Great Yarmouth. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural products, including skids, tanks, pipework, and pressure vessel fabrications.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings and isometrics to determine materials and consumables, and plan task sequences to ensure efficient production.
- Carry out welding and fabrication tasks using SMAW and GMAW processes, and perform arc and oxy-acetylene welding, cutting, and brazing on various ferrous and nonferrous metals.
- Work to achieve high-quality finishes and adhere to contract specifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuous workflow and meet target dates.
- Participate in resolving assembly and production issues, and minimize waste by using and disposing of raw materials and consumables efficiently.
Requirements
- Time served apprenticeship or HND in a relevant subject (desirable)
- Working knowledge within a welding and manufacturing environment, including the preparation of components (essential)
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret weld procedures (essential)
