Job Overview

Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Sales Recruitment Consultancy, is seeking a Technical Sales Executive - Timber Joists & Building Materials to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling a range of timber and building materials to contractors, housebuilders, developers, joinery manufacturers, and trade.

The ideal candidate will have technical experience with timber or sheet materials, ideally I-Joists, and excellent communication and customer service skills. They will also be a good team player with drive, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Selling timber and building materials to customers
  2. Generating floor plans for customers via drawings, using the Finnjoist systems
  3. Offering practical advice to customers and guiding them through the design process
  4. Dealing with inbound sales enquiries via telephone and email
  5. Processing orders and making cold calls with a strong focus on generating new business
  6. Pro-actively selling, following up leads and enquiries promptly
  7. Responsible for developing your own ledger, which over time you will be targeted on
Requirements
  1. Technical experience with timber or sheet materials, ideally I-Joists
  2. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  3. Good team player with drive, enthusiasm, and self-motivation
  4. Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
