Job Title: Passive Fire Protection Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Passive Fire Protection Specialist to join our dynamic Fire South team in Plymouth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage measurement, pricing, and evaluation of tenders
  • Take full ownership of projects, ensuring cost control from start to finish
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins and manage direct labour costs
  • Oversee CVR reporting, forecasting, and sub-contractor accounts
  • Submit accurate applications for payment and ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

Requirements:

  • A professional qualification (HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with bill of quantities, schedules of rates, and design & build contracts
  • Experience in passive fire protection works is advantageous
  • Strong commercial management and procurement expertise
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to mentor and support colleagues
