Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpentry Assessor/Trainer to join our team at a reputable Sixth Form College in Cambridge. As a key member of the academic staff, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing carpentry courses that meet industry expectations and curriculum goals.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality carpentry courses, aligning with curriculum objectives and industry standards.
  • Provide tailored training sessions and hands-on instruction, showcasing best practices in carpentry and motivating students to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with academic and vocational staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience, maintaining strong relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, college policies, and quality assurance procedures.

Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification in Carpentry (Level 3 or above) and extensive experience as a Carpentry Assessor/Trainer in a post-16 or vocational education setting.
  • Current knowledge of carpentry industry standards and techniques, with a commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to engaging with students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
