Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English specialist to join our team at South Essex College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching on GCSE and Level 1 English to learners aged 14+.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of our learners.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, ensuring that all learners achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of the English faculty, participating in curriculum design and review.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in English teaching.
Requirements
  • A good understanding and experience of delivering GCSE qualifications.
  • A recognised teaching qualification in English.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic about the subject area.
  • Clearly demonstrated commitment to professional development and collaborative working.
