English Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join our team at an excellent school in Exeter, Devon. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract opportunity to add extra capacity to our English team and support the 'Head of Core' in their duties. The role will involve planning, teaching, and assessment, as well as attending meetings and other responsibilities of an employed teaching colleague.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4
  2. Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of students
  3. Assess student progress and provide feedback
  4. Attend meetings and contribute to team discussions
  5. Other responsibilities as an employed teaching colleague
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who:

Has UK QTS or is willing to gain QTS via the Assessment Only (AO) routeHas previous experience of teaching the UK National CurriculumIs able to work full-time and is immediately availableResides in the UK (Exeter area or able to reside in the area)Has the right to work in the UK without requiring employer sponsorshipWhat We Offer

The successful candidate will be engaged on a trial period of 60 days and then on satisfactory completion, transfer to a permanent contract. The school offers a supportive and collaborative environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
