Position: Property Dispute Resolution Lawyer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take instruction and advise clients in all manner of property disputes.
  • Draft statements of case, witness statements, briefs to counsel and various other legal documents.
  • Advise clients on and conduct matters in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
  • Network and develop business opportunities.
  • Advocacy (optional).

Types of case include:

  • Residential landlord and tenant including possessions, disrepair, deposit disputes and mortgage possessions.
  • Commercial landlord and tenant including dilapidations, forfeiture and lease renewals.
  • Service charge disputes.
  • Boundary, accessibility and land disputes.
  • Rights of way.
  • Rights to light.
  • Adverse possession.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years PQE.
  • Client-focused and have strong client handling skills.
  • Ability to instil client confidence.
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
  • Show a tenacity and determination to accomplish tasks within deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
