We are seeking a skilled Property Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join our team at Battens Solicitors. As a Property Dispute Resolution Lawyer, you will be responsible for taking instruction and advising clients in all manner of property disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting statements of case, witness statements, briefs to counsel and various other legal documents
  • Advising clients on and conducting matters in Alternative Dispute Resolution
  • Networking and business development
  • Advocacy (optional)

Types of Cases:

  • Residential landlord and tenant including possessions, disrepair, deposit disputes and mortgage possessions.
  • Commercial landlord and tenant including dilapidations, forfeiture and lease renewals.
  • Service charge disputes
  • Boundary, accessibility and land disputes
  • Rights of way
  • Rights to light
  • Adverse possession

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years PQE
  • Client-focused and have strong client handling skills
  • Be able to instil client confidence
  • Ability to attend Battens Yeovil office when needed
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Can-do attitude
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • Show a tenacity and determination to accomplish tasks within deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
