CNC Miller Programmer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. As a CNC Miller Programmer, you will be responsible for creating programs with Fusion360, setting up and operating 4 & 5 axis Haas CNC Mills, and interpreting technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating programs from customer drawings with Fusion360
  • Setting up and operating Haas Mills to perform various machining operations on a range of materials, including steel, aluminium, and plastic
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and set-up requirements
  • Adjusting machine settings and tool offsets as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency
  • Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometres and gauges, to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Maintaining machine cleanliness, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance as necessary
  • Adhering to safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines (preferably Haas)
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with precision tools
  • Knowledge of machining processes and quality control procedures
  • Experience using Fusion 360 & Solidworks for CAD and CAM
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
