Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Role

Galaxy Personnel Careers is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Thetford, Norfolk. This is a permanent position with a salary of up to £45,000 per annum.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing maintenance plans for the organization's equipment. You will establish maintenance policies and procedures, ensure that maintenance technicians carry out planned maintenance, and conduct quality checks on equipment. You will also manage the budget for maintenance and keep records of preventive and emergency maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency
  • Establish and maintain maintenance policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular quality checks on equipment to identify potential maintenance needs
  • Manage the maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians to ensure planned maintenance is carried out
  • Conduct emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Good all-round mechanical experience and ability to multi-skill tasks
  • Ability to work as part of a team and organize maintenance schedules
  • Time served engineer with experience in maintenance and repair
