About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Galaxy Personnel. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Establish and maintain effective maintenance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Manage the maintenance budget to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities to inform future planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, with a strong understanding of equipment operation and maintenance principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Time served engineer with experience in multi-skilled tasks and equipment maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience with maintenance management software and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to maintenance and safety.
