Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at Novanta. As a key member of our supply chain function, you will be responsible for performing purchase order processing routines, delivery assurance, and stock replenishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raise purchase orders for production stock, R&D, and ad hoc requirements via Sharepoint purchase request system, focusing on best quality, price, and delivery.
  • Monitor and expedite order deliveries, reporting any supplier delivery issues.
  • Assist the finance department with customs clearance of incoming purchase orders.
  • Maintain supplier and component databases to ensure data integrity.
  • Manage supplier free issue goods for sub-contract assembly/finishing.
  • Perform data analysis, including reporting on inventory levels, re-order points, and suggested process improvements.
Requirements
  • Previous purchasing and negotiation experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think on feet and demonstrate initiative.
  • Confidentiality, trust, and integrity.
  • PC literate, including MRP software and MS Office suite.
