About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Novanta. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing our inventory, sourcing and procuring parts, and ensuring timely availability of all components required to build our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring optimum stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Source and procure high-quality components, materials, and services from suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, driving performance improvements and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, reducing lead times and increasing efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement and inventory management.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with experience in MRP software a plus.
