Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to join our client, a public sector organisation, on an initial interim contract. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees and visitors across their 14 sites in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Health and Safety Lead in managing all aspects of health and safety across the organisation's sites.
- Manage the health and safety inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Advise and guide stakeholders on health and safety policies and procedures.
- Mitigate risks and prepare for audits as necessary.
- Develop and implement health and safety initiatives to improve the organisation's safety record.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in health and safety, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
