Autism Support Specialist

A part-time Autism Support Specialist is required to support a young man with Autism and ADHD in the North East of England. The successful applicant will have experience in supporting individuals with Autism and ADHD, be willing to build a strong positive relationship, and promote independence.
This role involves supporting the individual to access the local community and prevent isolation, encouraging social skill development, and implementing strategies to cope with challenging situations.
The ideal applicant will have a secure understanding of supporting individuals with Autism and ADHD, be willing to use public transport, and have a full enhanced disclosure and barring certificate. A driving licence and car would be helpful but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Supporting the individual to access the local community
• Encouraging social skill development
• Implementing strategies to cope with challenging situations
Requirements:
Experience in supporting individuals with Autism and ADHD, ability to build a strong positive relationship, and willingness to promote independence.
Benefits:
£13.09 per hour, 12-5pm on a Friday with some flexibility, 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata.
