About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SCADA Design Engineer to join our Technical Services Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing Operational Communication and SCADA systems that meet the needs of our business and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver substation SCADA and communications systems that meet our high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Work closely with our project managers, OT standards engineers, and other technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) for Operational Communication and SCADA field systems.
  • Provide subject matter expert (SME) technical support to the broader business and key stakeholders during the installation and operation of all field systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with framework contractors to ensure our standards are implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • A qualification in a relevant computing or engineering discipline (degree preferred) or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in technical design and delivery of substation SCADA and/or communications systems.
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols and operational communication methods such as DNP3/61850/TCP/UDP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment and with other cross-functional teams.
