Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a Technical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design Review and Validation
  • Assist with design reviews prior to mobilization, including:
  • Design Q&A sessions with the Senior Project Management team.
  • Preparation of drawings with subcontractors for balancing and flushing requirements.
On-Site Design and Installation Monitoring
  • Monitor design and installation activities on site.
  • As-built mark up of drawings during site visits.
  • Review labor on site and provide feedback to the Senior Team.
  • Collaborate with labor on the ground to ensure a positive working environment and high morale.
Project Programme Review and Progress Snapshot
  • Review the project programme on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure a two-week look ahead is reviewed during bi-weekly site visits.
  • Prepare and issue a project progress snapshot to the Senior Project Management team on a monthly basis.
  • The snapshot should include:
    • Up-to-date drawing register.
    • As-built mark-up with highlighted progress completion.
    • Accompanying photographic evidence of work progress.
    • Health and Safety audit reports from the previous month.
    • Monthly % tracking document.
    • Final issue of as-built mark-ups and testing certification to the Senior Team.
    • Site handovers and customer witnessing.
    • On-site client handover training.
Requirements:
  • Proven time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Excellent knowledge of British Standards and both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed reports.
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to liaise and converse with clients in a professional manner.
  • Full UK driver's license.
