Fashion Buyer Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Assistant Buyer to join our team at The Retail Partnership Ltd. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Buying team in managing critical path, price negotiations, and ensuring the smooth running of the department.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Junior Buyer and Buyer to ensure seamless execution of buying tasks.
  2. Manage the Buyers Admin Assistant to prioritise relevant tasks and maintain a well-organised workflow.
  3. Conduct trend analysis and competitive shopping to review price architecture and inform buying decisions.
  4. Oversee the product launch process and ensure systems are up-to-date in line with critical path.
  5. Prepare for meetings by pulling relevant samples and ensuring a well-presented look.
  6. Liaise closely with Design, Merchandising, and Wholesale teams to drive business success.
  7. Manage master data on PLM to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Person Specification:

  1. Previous experience as a Senior Buyers Admin or Assistant Buyer is essential.
  2. Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with a keen interest in fashion and a passion for product and trends.
  3. Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
