About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Moulding Technical Specialist to join our team at Reliance Worldwide Corporation Ltd. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing and optimising injection moulding processes to ensure high-quality products and efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot moulding processes and material or equipment issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides to support colleagues in resolving moulding process issues.
  • Define and implement optimised injection moulding processes to meet quality, efficiency, and safety targets.
  • Evaluate tooling and manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend optimisation strategies.
  • Document and maintain moulding process packs to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and process continuity.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve process concerns and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Analyse manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and report recommendations to management.
  • Conduct trials for new materials to ensure suitability with existing tooling and equipment.
  • Promote fact-based decision-making and ensure root causes are identified and robust solutions implemented.
  • Lead process improvement teams to resolve issues using techniques such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and 8D.
  • Stay up-to-date with specifications, technology, and manufacturing processes to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of process development within the plastics industry.
  • Wide experience of engineering polymers across a range of industries.
  • Use of process optimisation and Process Capability studies.
