**Role Description:** As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Poppyfield Primary Academy, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in Year 5. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide 1:1 support, while also contributing to whole class teaching and lesson planning as a HLTA.

You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, promoting academic and social progress. Experience of working with SEND pupils is essential, as is a commitment to continuing professional development.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Support the learning and development of a child in Year 5, addressing their academic and social needs.
  • Contribute to whole class teaching and lesson planning, developing strategies to engage and motivate children.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring effective communication with parents and carers.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
  • Experience of working with SEND pupils.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
**Salary and Benefits:**

The salary for this role is approximately £19,312 (SCP 5) per annum, pro rata. The benefits package includes opportunities for career progression and ongoing professional development.
